The Computer Information Systems - Cybersecurity program is a sequence of courses designed to provide students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in computer information processing. Graduates are to be competent in the general areas of humanities or fine arts, social or behavioral sciences, and natural sciences or mathematics, as well as in the technical areas of computer terminology and concepts, program design and development, and computer networking. Program graduates are qualified for employment as entry-level Cybersecurity personnel.

General Core Courses
Area I - Language Arts/Communication - ENGL 1101 - Composition and Rhetoric Credits: 3
Area II - Social/Behavior Science Choose 3 semester credit hours from the following academic fields: - Economics
- Ethnology/Ethnic Studies
- History
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Sociology
Area III - Natural Sciences/Mathematics Choose 3 semester credit hours from the following courses: - MATH 1100 - Quantitative Skills/Reasoning Credits: 3
- MATH 1101 - Mathematic Modeling Credits: 3
- MATH 1103 - Quant. Skills and Reasoning Credits: 3
- MATH 1111 - College Algebra Credits: 3
Area IV - Humanities/Fine Arts Choose 3 semester credit hours from the following academic fields: - Art Appreciation
